Apr 17 - May 24, 2014. This cryptic installation honored the tradition of 17th-century Wunderkammern, the historical precursors to museums. Included in the exhibition: specimens displayed in bottles and boxes, drawings of collected specimens, cast bronze specimens and boxes, and two cast bronze books.
Starting from Nothing
Sept 6 - Oct 13, 2012. This solo exhibition explored the concept of nothingness through photographs, artist's books, and relief box constructions.
Sep 23 - Oct 30, 2010. The largest piece in Williams' first solo exhibition at the gallery was 7" wide. An artist's book, Relative Remains, and a series of not-empty boxes provided the theme, featuring pairs of invertebrates - fossil creatures and their contemporary relatives - accompanied by writing and specimens. Color etchings and mixed media collage boxes were also on display.
October 9 - November 15, 2008. This two-person exhibition also featured Faye Passow. Both artists exhibited fine prints - they had met in a Printmaking Studio, and they shared a gallery membership, along with their obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Williams presented works from 2006 - 2008 in a range of media, including artist's books, collages, etchings, and not-empty boxes.
