Cortney Carlson

Cortney Carlson is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Studies degree from the U of M in Arts and Cultural Leadership. She will finish up coursework 2012 and will complete her final project and graduate in the spring of 2013. Cortney's undergraduate degree is also from the U of M, majoring in Art History with a minor in Women’s Studies and Business Management from the Carlson School of Management. Aside from being a student she works in the Carlson School of Management in the Carlson Global Institute. Before working in higher education she spent a year as an event/wedding planner, and spent several years as a studio assistant to a local ceramic artist. Past experience has taught Cortney about arts and administration, but never together. "I am participating in a comprehensive internship with the Form + Content Gallery to finally put all of the puzzle pieces together. I look forward to combining my arts education with real-world application, and I hope that others can learn something from me along the way."
